  • This integrative DBT group offers a structured, skills-based approach to building emotional resilience and improving relationships. Drawing from The DBT Therapy Skills Workbook (McKay & Wood) and DBT Skills Training (Linehan), the group covers the four core areas of Dialectical Behavior Therapy: mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance. Participants will also engage with complementary practices from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), self-compassion, and somatic awareness to deepen understanding and support real-life application.

DBT is unique in its balance of acceptance and change—helping clients validate their current experiences while actively working toward healthier behaviors and emotional responses. Through guided practice, participants learn to recognize patterns of dysregulation and self-sabotage, and replace them with more effective coping strategies. Mindfulness and awareness are central, allowing clients to better understand their internal experiences and respond with intention rather than reactivity.

This group is ideal for individuals seeking a more hands-on and engaging therapeutic experience. DBT requires active participation, including tracking emotions and behaviors, practicing skills between sessions, and showing up with a willingness to grow. Over time, clients often report increased emotional control, improved communication, and a stronger sense of confidence in navigating life’s challenges.
